On Thursday 21st April 2016 Lutèce holds their yearly Alsace dinner ‘Meet the Maker’ series. Lutèce and Romain Bapst are creating an exceptional marriage of wine and cuisine from Romain’s legendary Alsace region (France), and Alsace wines from award winning maker Jacques Cattin of the famous Joseph Cattin vineyards.
The Cattin family have been making wine since 1720 and successive generations have advanced their holdings, techniques and quality to become a giant of the French wine industry winning numerous awards and accolades.
2009-2012 Joseph Cattin wines won 9 medals in the Decanter World Wine Awards.
The Jury of the 2013 Grand Concours des Vins d’Alsace awarded 6 Gold Medals to Joseph Cattin 2012 vintage wines: Sylvaner, Riesling, Muscat, Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer and Pinot Noir. 2013 French Agricultural Awards: Cattin won the Grand Prize of Excellence.
