It’s Beaujolais Nouveau time!

Posted on

November has arrived, and that means it’s Beaujolais Nouveau month!

For those who don’t know about this unique wine event, the Beaujolais Nouveau celebrates the end of the harvest and is a race to get the new vintage on to the market as fast as possible.

The unique wine, always released in the third week of November, is made of Gamay grapes, and fermented for just a few weeks before being harvested by hand in the Beaujolais region of France.

Georges DuBoeuf produces the most well known variety of Beaujolais Nouveau, and DuBoeuf himself is often recognised as the man responsible for the popularisation of the annual Beaujolais Nouveau.

To celebrate, we’re holding a five course Georges DuBoeuf Beaujolais Nouveau dinner on Thursday, November 21 with guest chef Russell Armstrong.

Beginning at 7pm, guests will enjoy a menu of Russell Armstrong’s favourite dishes such as pressed quail and foie gras tartine, slow braised milk fed veal “Milanese”, and poached sensation pear with an almond tart.

Of course, Georges DuBouef Beaujolais Nouveau accompanies all these dishes.

We are the only venue putting on a Beaujolais Nouveau celebration, so don’t miss out on this unique and quintessentially French opportunity!

The dinner, with all wine included, is $125 per person. Book in now on (07) 3161 1858, or email

Crittenden Estate Meet The Maker Dinner this October

Posted on

After the great success of the Black Truffle Celebration Dinner, we’re pleased to announce our next event!

On October 31, we will hold the Crittenden Estate Meet The Maker Dinner, hosted by Rollo Crittenden to celebrate the elegance and quality of the range.

For $125 per person, guests will receive an appetiser and four courses with nine wines to match. The event will commence at 6:30 for 7pm.

Crittenden Estate has an established history, with Director Garry Crittenden planting his first vines at Dromana on the Mornington Peninsula in 1982.

The Mornington Peninsula was not associated with wine when these first vines were planted, but Crittenden has helped establish the Peninsula’s position as a distinguished producer of cool climate wine.

Rollo, Garry’s son, is the winemaker at the Estate, overseeing the production of the beautiful artisan hand crafted wines.

He helped plant the vineyards as a six-year-old, and has established a promising wine career since.

In 2010, Rollo took out the Young Gun of Wine award, a testament to his years of hard work in the industry.

Bookings can be made on (07) 3161 1858 or via
