Lutèce Bistro & Wine Bar celebrates Western Australia Manjimup Black Truffle matched with the Margaret River Forrester Estate Wines on Friday 12th August 2016 at 6.30pm

Following the great success of our last French Winter truffle dinner, attendees will be treated to a delectable five-course feast that combines exquisite French flavours with the unique truffle taste.


We’re looking forward to showcasing a range of fine dishes to our guests again. Black truffles have a delightful combination of taste and texture, and they’re a unique and exciting ingredient to cook with.

We’re excited to celebrate this fine ingredient in true French style, that uniquely intertwine the black truffle to bring out distinct and full flavours.

Forester Estate is a family owned winery by Kevin & Jenny McKay situated on Wildwood Road, Yallingup, in the northern Margaret River region.

Built in 2002, Forester Estate is a new generation winery that strives to showcase the distinct regional characters of northern Margaret River fruit. The Estate is surrounded by huge Eucalypt trees that once supported a thriving forestry trade established in the 1850’s. This forestry industry was the first to open up rugged land along the Leeuwin-Naturaliste ridge and provide jobs for many of the new arrivals.

The Estate has a saw pit that was used by the original pioneers to mill timber which was transported by ox and cart to Yallingup-Siding, the nearby railway station.
This timber, especially the hardwood Mahogany (Jarrah), was shipped out from Geographe Bay to countries around the world. Even today, many streets of London lie on the Jarrah trees milled from the forests of Margaret River.

It is from this heritage that the name Forester Estate is derived.

Romain Bapst & Chef de Cuisine Qian Cao will match 5 courses with the “Black bullion”. Courses such as Moreton Bay bugs, chipiron & the black truffle soup, Angel hair pasta, the fried egg, the black truffle, Romain’s famous oxtail & the black truffle are on the menu.
