Lutèce to hold last of the Périgord black truffle season & Champagne Charles de Cazanove dinner

Lutèce Bistro and Wine Bar are treating guests to black truffle celebration dinners on March the 3rd to show off the last of the French winter truffle melanosporum from Perigord

Following the great success of December and early February truffle dinners, attendees will be treated to a delectable five-course feast that combines exquisite flavours with the unique “La Perle Noire” truffle taste.

Owner and Chef, Romain Bapst, is looking forward to showcasing a range of fine dishes to guests again.

“We’re excited to celebrate this fine ingredient in true French style, with Five courses that uniquely intertwine the black truffle to bring out distinct and full flavours all match with the great Charles de Cazanove Champagne from Reims.

The Charles de Cazanove brand, one of the oldest in the region, has learned to combine Tradition, Modernity and Dynamism through two centuries of dedication to Champagne.

In the 16th Century, a glassmaker from the Bigeault family travelled to Venice, the world centre for the glass industry at the time, to add to his skills and experience. On his return he added the name Casanova to his own, i.e. “New House” and gave it the French form “Cazanove”.

Authentic wines from a noble terroir, made in line with an ancestral tradition and open to the best that progress can offer the champagne lover, Charles De Cazanove wines are enjoyed throughout the world.

Taste buds will certainly be tantalised on the evening, with courses such as the

  • Tasmanian lobster light smoked & the black truffle “en croute”, celery & apple ragout,
  • the White Rocks Milk fed veal cutlet slow roasted with sage, Pinot noir jus “Parmentier” potato ratte fork crushed with the black truffle & Vacherin from Mont d’Or

The dinner is on Thursday 3rd of March 2016 at 6:30 for 7; will be $158 per person with a glass of Champagne & Appetizer on arrival, or $198 per person with matching Champagne & wine.
